Tanzania Umalila 250 gr

Tanzania Umalila is a washed coffee from Mbeya, produced through the Umalila Cooperative. Bringing together around 250 smallholder farmers from surrounding villages, the cooperative has grown into one of the more promising examples of how shared infrastructure and stricter processing can raise both quality and consistency. The move toward a more centralised washing station has helped create a cleaner and more traceable cup, while also strengthening the long-term position of the producers behind it.

In the cup, this coffee leans elegant and aromatic, with nectarine sweetness supported by a floral jasmine lift. The washed process keeps the structure clear and articulate, while the combination of altitude and varieties such as Compact and Bourbon N39 gives the coffee extra refinement. Scored 87.5 by Nordic Approach, it is a composed and expressive coffee for drinkers who appreciate brightness, clarity, and a more delicate kind of complexity.
